Let the bells ring out

In 1996 we ran the first of what has become a series of large scale Christmas Schools projects in East Suffolk in the UK in aid of Tearfund.
I wrote ‘Let the bells ring out’ as the title song for the project.
It has a catchy chorus (with simple but fun actions), a modulated verse and a rap in the middle with a gospel-feel tag
The rap can be done 'solo' or is easy enough to do in a group

Below are the lyrics for 'Let the bells ring out'

Let the bells ring out Let all creation shout!
For a king has been born Who will bring peace and life to the world
Let the bells ring out Let all creation shout!
For a king has been born Who will bring peace and life to the world

God is with us The best surprise the world could ever see
A star shines out for everyone A light to blaze through history

O come let us adore Him O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord

RAP
At this festive time we celebrate God’s greatest gift of love
As he sent Jesus down to earth From His home in Heaven above
So we’re gonna dance, we’re gonna clap We’re gonna shout and cheer
For the answer to our every need The baby King is here, and we sing

Glory, in the highest and peace on earth (x4)
