Holy Holy Lord
This is one of the songs that Wendy initiated and had effectively written most of the lyrics and had a melody idea for the first part of the song before I had sight or ear of it !
The song is slow in pace, simple yet haunting in its feel. The
song builds from the first section ‘holy holy Lord’ through the repetitive
pre-chorus ‘Holy, holy’ to the chorus itself that rises melodically and has a
richer harmonic structure. When we use it at our church, it can really help to
bring a sense of awe and reverence during a quieter time of worship.
Although not the way we do it, it's minor key would lend itself to a celtic
style
